The Friends of Ford’s Pond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Sutherlin, Oregon.
Our 10th Anniversary is April 29, 2024!
Formed in 2014, the Friends successfully advocated for a new park on the vacant 202-acre Ford’s Pond property. Ford’s Pond Community Park is now the place Where Everyone Plays.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The path paving, new parking, and playground are to be completed by end of July 2024.
The playground area is closed.

Each Month–2nd Saturday, 9 a.m. Meet at Church Rd lot.
Volunteers from the Umpqua Valley Audubon Society lead 2-hour walks. New birders and families are welcome.
UCVEG Walking Group
Wednesdays, 9 a.m. Meet at the Church Rd. lot.
The Umpqua Community Veg Education Group leads weekly walks. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to join them. Dogs on leash are welcome. Rain or shine.
